A temporary exhibition showing some of the works of Pinot Gallizio (1902 - 1964) is being held in the restaurant.
Examples of "industrial painting" by Massimo Martinelli, who studied aromatic and medicinal herbs under Gallizio at the wine-making school in Alba, are on display in the cafeteria.
"Industrial painting" was a revolutionary, thought-provoking artistic movement conceived by Pinot Gallizio in his "experimental laboratory" in Alba in the 1960s: immediate "arte povera", produced on rolls of canvas of up to 100 metres in length, and sold by the metre.
Closed: Tuesdays and all the month of January
