Actually, during his stays at the Castle, the Count slept in what is now the “Hall of Masks”. The furniture and fittings you will find here have been moved from that room and are the orginal ones: the bed is in Empire style, according to the fashion of the time, of French manufacture, with a half-boat shape.

In those days, the bed mattresses were straw mattresses, very high and full of corn leaves. That’s why the Count, who was short and stocky, used the ladder you see to climb up, and which concealed inside… the chamber pot!

The room was simple, functional, without any hint of luxury or ostentation.

We wonder how many times, in this bed, Count Camillo fell asleep thinking about his plan to make the Kingdom of Sardinia a European power and to unify Italy…[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column offset=”vc_col-lg-6 vc_col-md-12″][vc_single_image image=”1792″ img_size=”full” alignment=”right”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_section full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1626262875323{padding-top: 2% !important;padding-bottom: 2% !important;}” el_class=”BloccoNewsBeige”][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” gap=”35″ equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle”][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”1796″ img_size=”full” onclick=”custom_link” link=”/il-conte-cavour/”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1632123686391{padding-top: 10px !important;}”]

Discover Cavour’s life

[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Find out more” style=”classic” shape=”square” color=”chino” css=”.vc_custom_1634118628730{padding-top: 30px !important;}” link=”url:%2Fen%2Fcount-cavour%2F|title:Count%20Cavour”][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”2370″ img_size=”full” onclick=”custom_link” link=”/il-museodelle-langhe/”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1631632179962{padding-top: 10px !important;}”]

Langhe Museum

[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Find out more” style=”classic” shape=”square” color=”chino” css=”.vc_custom_1634118639046{padding-top: 30px !important;}” link=”url:%2Fen%2Flanghe-museum%2F|title:Langhe%20Museum”][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”1564″ img_size=”full” onclick=”custom_link” link=”/le-sale/”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1631632197119{padding-top: 10px !important;}”]

The Rooms

[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Find out more” style=”classic” shape=”square” color=”chino” css=”.vc_custom_1634118651263{padding-top: 30px !important;}” link=”url:%2Fen%2Fthe-rooms%2F|title:The%20rooms”][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][/vc_section]

[vc_section full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1626276502256{padding-bottom: 0px !important;background-color: #7c1b42 !important;}” el_class=”prenotazioni”][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content”][vc_column width=”1/2″ offset=”vc_col-lg-offset-3 vc_col-lg-3″][vc_column_text css=””] Opening hours 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.* [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″ offset=”vc_col-lg-3″][vc_column_text] Plan your visit[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][/vc_section][vc_section […]

Enter the Castle of Grinzane Cavour and discover the history and places of Count Camillo Benso di Cavour.
