The Enoteca (wine shop) was set up in 1967, the first in Piedmont and the second of its kind in Italy, and was originally created to provide a prestigious showcase for the best Piedmontese wines and grappas. Over time, a wide selection of the area’s excellent gastronomic and food products has been added.

Every year, the selection of wines of the Order of the Knights of the Truffle and the Wines of Alba rewards the best Piedmontese labels.
Since 1975, the Order of the Knights of Truffles and Wines of Alba has brought prestige to Alba’s oenology by choosing, every year, some of the best batches of Piedmontese wines.
Since 2015, the Selection of the Order of the Knights of the Truffle and Alba Wines has been reserved exclusively for the wineries that are members of the Enoteca Regionale Piemontese Cavour: each winery may present a maximum of two wines, which are then submitted to the judgement of a selective Technical Tasting Commission. Only the bottles that pass this careful selection – scoring a minimum of 90/100, according to the Union Internationale des Oenologues evaluation method – are awarded the Order’s institutional label and numbered from 1 to 100, becoming valuable “unique pieces” that can be purchased exclusively at the Enoteca Regionale Piemontese Cavour, directly on site or through the official e-commerce website: www.ecommerce.castellogrinzane.com.
