Every year, the most prestigious specimens of Tuber magnatum Pico, the inebriating Alba White Truffle, are put up for auction for charity purposes: an exclusive event broadcast to the main international markets, from Hong Kong to Singapore, from Vienna to Soeul where VIPs and stars from all over the world compete for batches of the most precious fruit of the earth, the Alba White Truffle.

Since 1999, every year, at the beginning of November, the Castle of Grinzane Cavour has been hosting the Alba White Truffle World Auction, an event attended, in person or via live connection from all over the world, by great chefs and famous public figures from politics, culture, show business and the international jet set.
The Auction is non-profit: the proceeds from the sale of the best specimens of Alba White Truffle are entirely donated to charities in Italy and around the world. Over the years, more than 6 million euros have been raised thanks to bids from one end of the planet to the other, with the core of the event always held at Grinzane Cavour Castle, under the guidance of exceptional auctioneers.
