CELEBRATED AT THE CASTLE OF GRINZANE THE ELEVENTH UNESCO ANNIVERSARY.
Saturday, June 22nd was an evening filled with great music and deep emotion to celebrate the 11th UNESCO anniversary at the Castle of Grinzane Cavour.
The highlight of the day, which marked the recognition of the Vineyard Landscapes of Langhe, Monferrato, and Roero as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was the evening concert by violinist Clarissa Bevilacqua. She captivated the audience, accompanied by the Orchestra Classica di Alessandria. The performance, which began at 9:30 p.m., featured a refined repertoire spanning three centuries of classical music and was met with warm applause from the audience, who gathered in the indoor hall due to inclement weather.
The event served as a preview of the concert series "Sounds from the Hills of Langhe and Roero", scheduled from July 4th to August 10th and curated by the Alba Music Festival.
The evening also featured tasting stands hosted by producers participating in the “Short Supply Chain in the UNESCO Castle” project, which aims to promote the development of short supply chains in local markets. This initiative is supported by the Piedmont Region and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development 2023–2027, through intervention SRG07.1.
