Asta Mondiale del Tartufo Bianco d’Alba 2020

Enoteca Regionale Piemontese Cavour, Roberto Bodrito reconfirmed as president

Board of directors renewed, vice presidents Alberto Gatto and Gianfranco Garau reconfirmed, assembly approves 2024 budget, with over 54,000 visitors to the Castle of Grinzane Cavour.

For the next three years, Roberto Bodrito will once again lead the Enoteca Regionale Piemontese Cavour. His unanimous reappointment was decided today, Thursday, July 17, by the newly elected Board of Directors, which was renewed during the shareholders’ meeting held on June 30.

The Mayor of Cortemilia, already at the helm of this prestigious institution for two terms, will therefore continue his work for another three years, supported by Vice Presidents Alberto Gatto and Gianfranco Garau, Mayors of the Municipalities of Alba and Grinzane Cavour respectively, who jointly own the Castle that houses the Enoteca – a UNESCO World Heritage site recognized under the designation of the Vineyard Landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato.

The new Board of Directors, which will remain in office until 2028, also includes Pier Angelo Battaglino, Deputy Mayor of Vezza d’Alba, representing the Roero; Carlotta Boffa, City Councilor of Alba, representing the Order of the Knights of the Truffle and Wines of Alba; Livio Genesio, Mayor of Monforte d’Alba and President of the Union of the Municipalities of the Langa and Barolo Hills; and Sergio Germano, President of the Consortium for the Protection of Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe and Dogliani.

Over the past three years, in addition to the renovation and modernization of the hall dedicated to the White Truffle of Alba within the Langhe Museum, impressive numbers have confirmed the site as a benchmark for the entire region, which also celebrated the 10th anniversary of its UNESCO designation. In 2024, over 54,000 people visited the Castle of Grinzane and the Langhe Museum, while around 130,000 visited the Enoteca, the Vineyard Museum, and the Belvedere.

At the core of its mission is the promotion of regional excellence, with the White Truffle of Alba and fine wines as central features of internationally renowned events. These include the World Alba White Truffle Auction (now in its 26th edition, having raised over €7.2 million for charity), scheduled for Sunday, November 9, and the well-established Barolo en Primeur event, organized by the CRC Foundation and the Consortium for the Protection of Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe and Dogliani, which will celebrate its fifth edition on Friday, October 24—combining the prestige of great Piedmontese wine with a strong philanthropic spirit.

“I am proud of this reconfirmation, as it represents recognition of the work carried out by the outgoing team and the great synergy that has characterized our collaboration with the Administrations of Alba and Grinzane and their respective Mayors,” said President Roberto Bodrito. “A heartfelt thank-you is also due to the outgoing Board members—Silvio Artusio Comba, Paolo Borgogno, and Bianca Vetrino—and best wishes to the new Board members and auditors: the reconfirmed Franco Balocco and Roberto Berzia, and new appointee Alice Agnelli, who replaces Roberto Saracco. Everything we’ve achieved is undoubtedly the result of the outstanding professionalism of Director Marco Scuderi, supported by all the staff.

Looking ahead to the next three years, we are eager to strengthen our collaboration with the Order of the Knights of the Truffle and Wines of Alba. We are already working on future projects, focusing on top-tier quality and the international scope of our events, while remaining firmly rooted in the values and traditions of this extraordinary place, ready to seize every opportunity that arises”.
