THE CASTLE OF GRINZANE CAVOUR REOPENS WITH THE ALBA WHITE TRUFFLE ROOM COMPLETELY RENOVATED
AFTER THE WINTER BREAK, ACTIVITIES RESUME WITH AN AREA DEDICATED TO TUBER MAGNATUM PICO AND THE ALBA WHITE TRUFFLE WORLD AUCTION
On Saturday, 17th February 2024, the Castello di Grinzane Cavour officially reopened after the winter break, with an important addition to the Langhe Museum: the Alba White Truffle Room has been completely renovated to offer an even more appealing and visitor-friendly environment, with special features dedicated to the precious hypogean mushroom and the traditions behind it, such as truffle hunting, a practice handed down from generation to generation and tied to ancient know-how and perfect knowledge of the territory.
There are also several films and in-depth reports on the Alba White Truffle World Auction, a charity event organised by the Enoteca Regionale Piemontese Cavour since 1999, and that has become an increasingly famous international showcase thanks to its most innovative formula and prestigious connections all over the world. In over 20 years, more than 6.8 million euros have been raised and donated to charity.
“2024 is an extremely important year, because our territory will celebrate the tenth anniversary of its recognition by Unesco, of which Grinzane Cavour Castle is a specific site. To celebrate this anniversary, we have planned a number of prestigious activities and some novelties" - said Roberto Bodrito, President of Enoteca Regionale Piemontese Cavour - One of these is undoubtedly the renovation of the museum itinerary, so that those who enter the Langhe Museum can enjoy not just a visit, but an immersive experience in our territory. And thanks to the collaboration of all those involved, starting with the Mayor of Alba, Carlo Bo, and the Mayor of Grinzane Cavour, Gianfranco Garau, we want to further improve the international visibility, recognition and accessibility of the castle".
